Technical issues should never stand in the way of your creativity. Here is how to solve the most common technical hurdles.
1. PDF Generation Issues
PDF is empty or won't download
This usually happens when the pattern is too large for the browser's memory.
Solution:
- Clear your browser cache.
- Reduce the complexity of the design (fewer overlapping shapes).
- Try using the "View as Table" option instead of "Download PDF."
2. Printing & Scaling
Pattern prints on multiple pages
Our PDF patterns are designed for A4 and US Letter sizes. If the pattern is splitting across pages:
Solution:
- In your print dialog, select "Fit to Page" or set scale to 100%.
- Ensure "Double-sided printing" is turned OFF.
3. Performance & Browser Support
Foldbook Studio runs entirely in your browser using WebGL.
Recommended Browsers:
- ✅ Google Chrome (Latest)
- ✅ Firefox (Latest)
- ✅ Safari (Latest)
- ❌ Older versions of Internet Explorer are NOT supported.
